Here is the official contest report from the Contest Manager
European Sprint Contest - Spring CW - October 13, 2007
-------------------------------------------------------

This time the CW Sprint was much more fun of the Spring
event when the clash with WSEM made many unhappy.
We did received more logs and the QSO average was higher.

Filipe, CT1ILT, did it again.
Twenty were good enough for him to be able to work USA
while others could not do it. He did 35/40 QSOs on 20 more
than everyone else.
This time second place went to Dmitri, RW3FO, at the
controls of RL3A super-station. It was frustrating for him
listening who was working USA while almost nothing could
he heard by his large antennas.
Tonno, ES5TV, come third, just 1 point behind RW3FO. His
race is the carbon copy of what RW3FO did: same band/scores,
both of them just missed 20m.
Ben, DL6RAI, ended #4, just 5 QSOs behing the third place.

The Low Power race went to Ludek, OK3C. He already won this
category in the past and this time he topped I2WIJ and RK6HG.
Once more the Low Power logs are almost equal to High Power
(35 to 39) and the top LP score is now just 11 QSOs down from
the closer HP result.
Times are not ready yet to switch to a "only Low Power" Sprint
but we could start thinking about it.

We've got 7 Golden Logs (DL8MBS, G0MTN, LY6M, OK1KZ, OL0W,
UA1CEC and UA2FL). Congratulations!

We will not make any change to dates and Rules for 2008 as
we guess that the problem with WSEM should not come out again.
So you better red-circle the second (12) and the third (19)
saturday in April 2008.

This time over 77% of the QSOs have been cross-checked. Thanks
to all the Eu Sprinters for their entries and please don't
forget to check our web site <www.eusprint.com> where you
can see and download all the logs and the UBN reports of all
entrants as well as a lot of information about log checking,
rules in many languages and all past results since 1994.
